Oh, and don't forget, Feed the body but also feed the mind. Read at least 3 books a month. We are the sum of what we have read 3 years from now. :)

Happy Holidays! Yes, I have a sincere desire to learn! Anyone up to 1 single Kata of 10,000 in 3 years? Single Kata of Suprarinpei. Single Kata of Chatan Yara no Sai. You need only 10 kata of each every day. How about 10,000 Kata in 1 year? Only 27 a day. Anyone practice Shugyo? 100 Kata in 1 day? Have fun! That should be your Christmas Present to yourself.

toughen the body, and polish the spirit"

Michael - Thanks for the history for Mr. McLain. That was excellent information.

Karl - Here at the general group discussion page is fine. Welcome to our group and I look forward to learning some of our more obscure history from some of the Shorei people.

Did not know where to post such greetings, but here I am... Wishing all a Happy New Year! It has been a tough year, inside and out, but we have made it. Whatever your new year's resolution may be, just use your budo discipline to stick to it. Think of it as just another belt test (wow, the blood, sweat and tears in those) and you shall surely avail. God bless all!
